Philip The Good Tower was originally named "Tour de la Terrasse" i.e. Tower of the Terrace, it sits on top of The Palace of the Dukes and Estates of Burgundy.
It was built for Philip The Good at the same time as "The old great hall", between 1450 and 1460.
With its 46 meters high and its 7 floors, the Tower has an unusual trapezoidal shape due to its substructure which leans on older vestiges.
